Dio Cane!

A Tuscan curse, often heard when the stones start to roll. It is neither purely blasphemous nor simply crude, it’s the vent of the Cavatori, those who live between heaven and the hell of work.

Dem Deutschen Volke

Dem_Deutschen_Volke_04

I created this work in 2009. Its starting point was a small sculpture my grandfather once gave me: a figure of King Leonidas that he had brought back from Greece.

Non Solo Pasta

In Non-Solo-Pasta I took that story apart and rebuilt it, with Carrara marble, steel, and a bucket full of pasta.

TabulaRasa!

I built TabulaRasa in 2012 in my adopted home Castelpoggio, a tiny village above Carrara, where marble dust, rust, and wild rumours hang in the air

Black Virgin

Steel barrel, used motor oil, Madonna figure, crane/winch mechanism

The Little Wanker

I manifested this little guy out of many nightmares. Ten centimeters high, carved from marble and resin, at first glance almost insignificantly small.

I Dream Ritalin

When a child misbehaves, people don’t offer a helping hand anymore, they offer a pill.
